| I'm reading invisible monsters by chuck palahniuk (the author of fight club) it's about this model who got her face blown off.
he may be one of my new favourites. he's so dark. I think I may read them all.
anyway, there's one quote in it, it seems to be the highlight of her thought lines dispite all of the other stuff going on.

| ok. so, I felt kinda sick yesterday, but due to extenuating circumstances, I'd been up since 2 am at midnight the next night, so I figured it was just fatigue. I've been feeling pretty tired lately in general, but just didn't really think much of it-I do a lot all the time now.
anyway, I went to the doctor today because it felt like there was a vice crushing my brain very slowly all day. I was also coughing non-stop.
I have a lung, throat, and sinus infection.
I'm probably going to die.

fredericton is flooded. the downtown is literally being shut down. people have been told not to go to work tomorrow, the streets are flooded.. there are shelters and shit. its insane.
I am moving to higher ground tomorrow. just in time if you ask me.
I am going to take some pictures tomorrow in the daylight of the flood after I get some things arranged in my new space. then its off to work. I may have friday off due to the inability to swim to work.
looks like I should have invested in inflatable furniture during the flood-I could sell it at a high price to a lot of people currently.
closing thought, as I need to get up early tomorrow:
a guy came through my cash super happy tonight (downtown sobeys, people were in a frenzy.) I said "you must live uptown" and he said "I do, but even if I didn't it doesn't matter. people need this. shakes them up a bit, makes life a little more interesting" and its true. no one has been hurt by the flooding (minus the businesses who're losing money due to closure) so its all just good entertainment.
I took a picture of a parking garage that had a floor full of water tonight on my cell phone. text me for the picture. haha.

| so, Diana and I rescued the turtle from blaney's yesterday.. no one was looking after it and they were waiting for him to die. it was a dark day for the turtle.
now he's in my living room, layers of slime scrubbed off both him and the tank, habitat created.
he's the proudest fucking turtle I have ever met.
the sheer joy of the turtles obvious appreciation has made me feel less bad about the flood. which is still happening, just for the record.
the turtle swims all the time, and when he's not, he's got his head straight up in the air, showing off his colors because he knows he's pretty now.
good times.

| I have been living in water for four days, and among that several terrible things have happened to me. I am so down, its hard to do anything. I can barely sleep because I'm afraid to find out what will be ruined when I wake up, or that some kind of water related electrical fire will start in the night and trap me in my bedroom.
seriously.
I am begining to understand why suicidal people love the idea of death, because for the past four days, I've just wanted to stop feeling anything.
that said, I am obviously not anywhere near the place where I would ever want to do anything of the sort, I guess I just get the idea.
its damp and cold, and my life fucking sucks.

| I wish I could take pictures of the fucking flood in my livingroom, but my camera is dead and I can't find the charger and I can't really look because there's a ton of water in my living room.. but if you could imagine what it would be like to NEED rubber boots in your living room, you've just about got it.
the sink bonus is fun, because you never know when it may suddenly unleash its fury on the bathroom/kitchen.
the bedroom is the only higher ground the ferrets and I are privy to.
